Swiss Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Role in Moroccan Tourist Murders

Two Swiss are being prosecuted directly or indirectly in the Imlil tragedy, which led to the murder of two young Scandinavian tourists. One of them has just been sentenced to 10 years in prison, in a case tried separately.
It is a Genevan named Nicolas, aged 33. He was prosecuted for: forming a gang with a view to preparing and committing terrorist acts aimed at seriously undermining the security of the State, premeditated assistance to perpetrators of terrorist acts, training of persons with a view to joining a terrorist organization and apology for terrorism.
MAP specifies that he is an IT advertising technician who "was found guilty in a separate case from the one involving the 25 accused in the double murder case". Furthermore, in order to reveal his involvement, the same source writes: "According to media revelations, the two defendants would have been in contact when they were residing in Switzerland and would have even exchanged the video showing the murder of the two tourists", however without citing which media it is.
On the other hand, the same RTS affirms that Nicolas had no connection with the terrorists, although he knew Kevin Z., the other Swiss (Hispanic-Swiss), prosecuted in this case. RTS specifies: "However, he knew volunteers of jihad who left Geneva to fight in Syria. It is on this basis and by admitting his relationships that he would have fallen for complicity".
And his lawyer, Me Khalil Drissi, does not intend to stop there, and mentions procedural issues: "All the charges were upheld even though the only piece of evidence is an Arabic police report that Nicolas does not speak".
Let us recall that the lifeless bodies of Maren Ueland and Louisa Vesterager Jespersen were found on December 17 in the Imlil region. They would have been executed by individuals who had pledged allegiance to Daesh.
