Swiss Businessman Donates €2 Million to Orphans Near Marrakech

A Swiss businessman has made a donation of 2 million euros, representing half of his fortune, to about a hundred orphans and abandoned children in the Marrakech region.
"I am Swiss. The only thing I have left of Switzerland is my little cross on the cap. My heart is Moroccan!" declared the businessman. He intends to give half of his fortune to the abandoned children of Tahannaout, near Marrakech.
For Huppert, these children must be saved, they must be guided. "It cost me 2 million euros, it’s half of what I have. I have three sons, I brought them here, I said: ’dad is going to give another meaning to half of your inheritance. I spent 2 million here with a lot of joy," said this man who has lived in the region for 10 years.
He aims to build a haven of peace for these children. He also counts on the contribution of goodwill people to go further in the realization of this social and humanitarian project. "In the Kingdom of Morocco, there are nearly 10,000 abandoned children by stigmatized mothers who often have no other option than abandonment. In the eyes of people, a woman who has given birth to a child without a wedding ring is a prostitute. It is ingrained in society," he explains to fully justify the relevance of his project.
"I let go of my material goods in Switzerland. I found intangible values that I feel every day here. It’s magnificent. The heart, the respect, the love, ... (...) Since I’ve been handing out these little ’chwiya’, I’m the happiest man on earth. I’m the father of 100 children," summarizes the donor.
