Suspected Terrorist Leader Dies in Moroccan Prison After Refusing Meals

The administration of the local prison Salé 2 announced the death of Abderrazak A., the emir of the terrorist cell dismantled last September in Témara.
A. A., nicknamed "Moul triporteur" (the man with the tricycle) or "El Haich" (the ogre), died in prison on Saturday morning, December 26, due to health complications, according to a statement from the penitentiary institution. The detainee refused to take his meals, arguing that they were served by the "Taghout" (the tyranny), the same source specifies.
The public prosecutor’s office was notified twice of this situation, on November 9 and 13, while the defendant was placed under medical supervision within the penitentiary institution. The day before his death, the detainee underwent a series of medical examinations at the Rabat (Souissi) University Hospital.
The terrorist cell led by Abderrazak A. was preparing to carry out attacks with explosive charges in Témara when it was dismantled by the elements of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ). Subsequently, he had resisted his arrest. Detained in the Tiflet prison, he had killed a prison guard on October 27.
