Suspected Polisario Attack in Western Sahara: Explosions Reported Near Aousserd

Information indicates a new attack south of Aoussred in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region. Could the Polisario militiamen be the perpetrators?
The southern part of Aoussred, in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, was the target of a new attack. A total of four explosive shell shots would have been fired by the Polisario separatists, reports Hespress, without specifying the toll of the attack. It would only be two shells, initially falling in the Aghilas area south of Aousserd, at a distance between 3 and 5 kilometers, reports the site Goud, whose sources have "not provided" any precise data "on the presence of victims or on the fall of other shells in the area".
While no official source has, for the time being, confirmed or denied this information, reactions are following one another on social media. Many Moroccan Internet users insist on the need for a firm response from Morocco.
At the end of October, the Polisario had carried out an attack on the night of Saturday to Sunday in the city of Es-Semara. The toll was one dead (a Moroccan living abroad) and three injured, two of whom are in serious condition. In a statement published late at night on October 29, the separatist movement indicated that the separatists "targeted the enemy forces this Sunday in the sectors of Mahbès, Es-Semara and Farsia".
"Right now, we are in the investigation phase, gathering information, we are not accusing anyone. Because we are waiting for the conclusive results of this investigation. At that time, we will act," promised Omar Hilale, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations, stressing however that there is "a bundle of conclusive evidence that practically points in a single direction. The one who pronounced himself, himself, with the communiqué published by the armed separatist group the Polisario".
