Study: Morocco Tops List of Popular Vacation Destinations for Moroccans

Morocco is the top travel destination, followed by Spain, France and finally Turkey, reveals a study commissioned by Premium travel news, relayed by barlamane.com.

According to the study report, 98% of Moroccans go on vacation one to two times a year, during the summer or spring season, sometimes during long weekends. Half of the respondents prefer to stay in a hotel or club. The remaining 50% spend their holidays with family. Agadir, Marrakech and the North are the favorite cities of 74% of Moroccans.

Why the choice of Morocco? In addition to the security issues often mentioned and the traffic jams during the holidays and summer, the same source indicates that Moroccans are generally satisfied with their stay. However, vacationers have expressed wishes that can be summarized in three points: more cafes and restaurants, better equipped rented apartments or villas, more evening entertainment and music concert or festival programming.
