Study: 60% of Moroccans Prefer Local Brands Over Foreign Products

A study conducted by the Sunergia group on the preferences of Moroccans in terms of consumption, revealed that many of them opt for products made in Morocco.
Entitled "Consumption Preferences: Moroccan vs. Foreign Brands", this study was conducted by the Sunergia group in collaboration with L’Économiste. Of the 1,004 people surveyed by telephone, 60% said they prefer Moroccan brands, compared to 20% who swear only by foreign brands, while 20% chose to remain neutral.
The study also showed that the preference for Moroccan brand products grows with age. 86% of people aged 56 to 64 feel comfortable with local products and live in rural areas, compared to 46% aged 18 to 24, who live in the city.
This is not the first time that the Sunergia group has conducted a study on the purchasing preferences of Moroccans. In 2018, the results obtained showed that the interest of Moroccans in foreign products had decreased without, however, any improvement in the rate of those who prefer Moroccan products.
