Stranded Moroccans in Turkey and Egypt Plead for Repatriation Amid Travel Ban

Moroccans stranded in Turkey and Egypt are crying out in distress. For about two months, many of them have not set foot on Moroccan soil, and Morocco’s recent decision to suspend air links with these two countries adds to their suffering.
Blocked in Turkey and Egypt for about two months, hundreds of Moroccans find themselves without resources, reports Alyaoum24. These are women (some of them pregnant), children, men, and the elderly or sick who are left to fend for themselves. Those stuck in Turkey denounce "marginalization and indifference" towards them. Faced with their "difficult conditions", more than 200 Moroccans are calling on King Mohammed VI for help. In a petition, they have expressed their situation and the deterioration of their living conditions.
Among them are sick people, on business trips, on business trips, etc. They deplore the lack of communication between them and the Moroccan consulate in Turkey. Only a few have managed to return to the country with great difficulty. The decision of the Moroccan authorities to close its borders with Turkey until April 12 extending, the Moroccans stranded abroad demand special flights to return to the kingdom.
