Stranded Moroccans Protest Royal Air Maroc Over Canceled Repatriation Flight from Algeria

Moroccans stranded in Algeria are angry with the managers of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) because of the cancellation of their repatriation flight. They expressed their anger on Sunday in front of a closed agency of the airline.
The airline was supposed to operate its first repatriation flight for Moroccans stranded in Algeria on Thursday, July 16. An operation that is part of its special flight program launched a day earlier. Unexpectedly, no RAM plane landed that day. The flight was canceled due to the unavailability of covid-19 tests.
"They said there was a problem with the tests (covid-19) but we found the solution. The tests are available. They asked the ambassador who promised to find a solution. The solution must come from the other side (Morocco, ed.) but they haven’t answered yet," explained one of the protesters to El Djazairia One. The wish of these Moroccans stranded in Algeria, he said, is to return to the country to celebrate Eid al-Adha with their families.
