Storm Kirk Weakens, Spares Morocco as Europe Faces Heavy Rain and Wind

Storm Kirk, which has caused panic in Europe in recent days, has finally lost its strength. An official from the General Directorate of Meteorology discusses the impact on Morocco.
According to Hussein Youabed, head of the communication department at the General Directorate of Meteorology, the former tropical cyclone has transformed into an atmospheric depression.
"Kirk has lost its tropical cyclonic characteristics upon entering the cold waters of the Atlantic," explains Youabed to Alyaoum24. The consequences of this evolution were quickly felt in Europe, particularly in France, Spain and Portugal, where heavy rains and strong winds disrupted daily life.
As for Morocco, it seems relatively spared from the direct effects of this depression. "The Azores high, which usually protects us, is weakening slightly," says the meteorologist. This situation could favor the arrival of more humid and colder air currents in the northwest of the country.
While Storm Kirk has made an impression in Europe, its repercussions on Morocco will be limited. However, the weather forecasts indicate a slight deterioration of the climatic conditions in certain regions of the north of the country.
