Spanish Police Bust Franco-Moroccan Drug Ring, Seize 626 Kilos of Cannabis in Malaga

Agents of the Spanish National Police, in collaboration with the OFAST, the French Anti-Drug Office, and the local police of Antequera (Malaga), have dismantled a Franco-Moroccan drug trafficking network in Ronda (Malaga). In total, 440 kilos of hashish and 186 kilos of marijuana were seized.
The agents wanted to intercept a suspicious van near Antequera when the vehicle driver fled, hitting a police vehicle. Having lost control of the vehicle, he continued on foot. The agents are still searching for him, reports H50. The agents found 186 kilos of marijuana buds, 75 kilos of hashish and a semi-automatic pistol with a magazine of ammunition inside the van.

The searches carried out in the residence in Arriate (Malaga), where the drugs were stored awaiting their conveyance to France, allowed the agents to seize 440 kilos of hashish, 186 kilos of marijuana, an AK-74 assault rifle and a semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, two vehicles and a geolocation device. The investigators also found on the premises a van loaded with construction materials, whose driver is a French of Moroccan origin with a history of drug trafficking in his country. After inspection, no drugs were found there.
