Spanish PM Leads Delegation of 12 Ministers for High-Level Talks in Morocco

Scheduled for February 1 and 2 in Rabat, the high-level meeting (HLM) between Morocco and Spain will see the participation of several members of Pedro Sanchez’s government.
According to the list revealed by the Spanish press, Pedro Sánchez will be accompanied by "a large delegation" of twelve Spanish ministers, including the first and third vice-presidents of the government, Nadia Calviño and Teresa Ribera, the ministers of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and of Justice, Pilar Llop. This high-level meeting is "an important step in the implementation of the roadmap adopted by Morocco and Spain in April 2022," reports the Spanish news agency EFE.
In addition to the ministers of the two countries, several actors in the economic sector are expected at this forum which aims to "promote new economic partnerships between Moroccan and Spanish companies, and to accelerate the pace of investments in several priority sectors". According to the Spanish media, several bilateral agreements will be concluded during this meeting, which will also see the participation of several other ministers who will meet with their Moroccan counterparts.
On the sidelines of this meeting, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council will have exchanges on several issues of common interest.
