Spain Tightens COVID-19 Screening for Travelers with New Health Checks

Before entering Spanish soil, travelers will now be subject to a temperature check and will have to fill out a health questionnaire. This, to quickly identify any possible cases of covid-19.
By filling out this electronic form, travelers wishing to travel to Spain provide essential information such as the address of their stay in Spain, travel history and medical problems if any, and in particular those related to the coronavirus. This information is then formatted into a barcode that the traveler presents during health checks upon arrival.
Travelers, once they arrive, could be subject to a temperature check using non-contact thermometers or thermal imaging cameras. Any suspected case will be subjected to another temperature check and an epidemiological test.
Travel agencies, tour operators and air or sea transport companies are required to inform passengers bound for Spain of these new conditions.
