Spain Prepares Emergency Plan for Potential Moroccan Border Reopening

The members of the steering committee of the Marhaba operation in Spain met by videoconference on Wednesday to establish an emergency plan.
The steering committee of the Marhaba operation met on Wednesday to prepare an emergency plan in the event that the Marhaba 2020 operation would finally be organized.
"Although the date of opening of the Moroccan border remains unknown, a possible opening will allow the organization of the Marhaba operation," it is indicated at the meeting chaired by the Government Delegate and attended by the members of the Steering Committee of the Marhaba operation by videoconference.
The objective, it continues, is to guarantee the safety and health of Moroccans residing abroad and currently in Ceuta, awaiting a hypothetical opening of the borders.
Faced with this eventuality, and to be properly prepared, all the stakeholders in this transit operation have agreed to put in place the necessary health and safety protocols to make this process a success.
