Spain’s Naval Power Outranks Morocco in Global Military Ranking

Spain has a more powerful naval fleet than Morocco, according to the latest ranking by Global Firepower.
Spain is ranked 20th on this list, while Morocco is housed in 29th place. A ranking that shows the superiority of the Spanish naval forces compared to the Moroccan forces. Russia tops this ranking, followed by China, North Korea and the United States, relays HuffPost.
This ranking provides very precise data on the total number of warships and submarines per country. It takes into account "all types of warships, including aircraft carriers, submarines, helicopter carriers, corvettes, frigates, coastal vessels, amphibious assault/support ships and auxiliary vessels," says Global Firepower.
The publication of this ranking comes in a particular context. Last week, the Royal Moroccan Navy started naval exercises in the waters of the Sahara, off the Canary Islands, which has raised concerns from the government of the Spanish archipelago.
Yesterday Monday, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, reassured the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, that these Moroccan naval exercises that started on Friday near the coasts of Laâyoune and Dakhla will take place in "well-defined and very remote areas from Spanish waters".
