Spain Lifts COVID Border Checks for Non-EU Travelers at Ceuta and Melilla

Spain has just removed health checks at the border posts of Ceuta and Melilla for travelers from non-European Union countries, including Morocco.
The measure, published this Thursday in the Official State Gazette (BOE), cancels the SND/425/2022 order of May 13 establishing health control measures for people arriving in Spain via Ceuta and Melilla. It was taken in view of "the evolution of the pandemic worldwide and the epidemiological situation in Spain" and aims to "promote the normalization of international mobility", it is specified.
This measure applies to non-EU or Schengen area nationals and takes effect from Friday, October 21 at 00:00. However, the other entry restrictions remain in force until November 15. Thus, only people with a visa and frontier workers in order are authorized to cross the borders of Ceuta and Melilla.
