Spain Considers Reviving Quad Donation to Morocco Amid Border Tensions

As part of the Border and Migration Management Support Program, Spain wanted to provide Morocco with 90 quads. A donation that had not materialized due to the strong diplomatic tension created by the migration crisis. Six months later, Spain could renew its offer.
The procedure for purchasing these vehicles had been suspended two months ago, indicates the Spanish media Ok Diario, due to the indifference of the Moroccan authorities who had broken diplomatic relations with Spain. This was in the aftermath of the migration crisis and especially the reception by Spain of the Polisario leader.
Faced with the silence of Morocco, which had two months to accept the donation, the Spanish government had to postpone the acquisition procedure regulated by the law on public procurement and financed by the European Union’s Emergency Trust Fund for Africa.
According to the media, the European neighbor could put the offer back on the table. Sources from the Ministry of the Interior revealed that the proposal could "be reformulated" in the near future.
