Spain Commemorates 100th Anniversary of Battle of Anoual with New Postage Stamps

The post office in Ceuta issued a stamp yesterday, December 14, in memory of the Moroccan campaigns during the Battle of Anoual, which took place 100 years ago.
The stamp depicts the image of the Medal of Peace of Morocco, created in 1927 to celebrate the end of the Moroccan campaigns in which the Spanish troops participated from 1909 to October 12, 1927, Spain’s national holiday.
The Spanish post office has also specially designed for the occasion a commemorative stamp on which the image of a soldier of the Regular Forces can be seen, with the same caption as on the Ceuta postage stamp: "The Moroccan campaigns (1909-1927). Annual 1921. In memoriam".
The stamps were produced as part of an exhibition organized by the Philatelic Association of Ceuta. These stamps will travel the world through the postal network. Through this gesture, the Spanish post office conveys a message, tells a story, promotes the culture and values of a region...
