Spain and Morocco Vie for Allegiance of Real Madrid’s Young Midfielder Thiago Pitarch

Spain is trying to prevent Thiago Pitarch, the Real Madrid midfielder, from joining the Atlas Lions’ den. The young player has been called up by David Tenorio for a training camp with the Spanish U18s.
A few weeks ago, Thiago Pitarch received a call from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) which is trying to convince him to join the youth team led by Noureddine Naybet. The Spanish Federation is trying to steal a march on him.
David Tenorio, the coach of the Spanish under-18 national team, has just called up the Real Madrid midfielder for three days of training at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, reports Marca.
Thiago Pitarch is a pure talent. The 17-year-old player made his debut at Atlético de Madrid, before joining Getafe and then Leganés. He joined the Real Madrid team, his current club, during the 23-24 season.
Despite repeated calls from Morocco, the player of Moroccan and Spanish origin has not yet chosen his sporting nationality. This is his first call-up with La Roja. In any case, Morocco still has a chance to recruit Thiago, as long as he does not play for the Spanish senior team.
