Snapchat Refutes Claims of Racial Bias on Platform, Defends Account Deletion Policies

"All these allegations are false. Snapchat is an open platform for everyone, without any form of discrimination, and we are committed to creating a product that reflects the full diversity of our users’ cultures," defends the social network in a statement.
Snapchat assures that the information disseminated by certain influencers, in this case BabyDriver, is false and erroneous. "A group of individuals deliberately shared erroneous information after the deletion of their accounts for posting content that violates our terms of use," the same source specifies.
"The privacy and trust of our community are essential, and we are committed to ensuring that our guidelines apply fairly to all members of our community, including Snap Stars and Snapchatters with a large audience. We continue to work hard to provide our users with a healthy and secure environment," the platform reassures.
Regarding the existence of a blacklist, Snapchat denies it. "A document is currently circulating on social networks and is titled ’Internal Document - Moderation Filter’ which claims to display a list of ’Blacklisted’ accounts by our moderators. This document is completely false; there is no such list at Snap France," the Snapchat France press relations managers affirm.
