Security Strike at Brussels Charleroi Airport Disrupts Flights to Morocco

A security service strike took place on Monday at Charleroi airport in Brussels. This situation has delayed several flights to Morocco.
Police sources have indicated that no vehicle can enter the airport, calling on users to avoid the premises as much as possible. The cause is a strike by the staff of the Security Master company, on the airport site, reports Belga.
The security personnel are occupying the roundabouts leading to the site, the management had warned, calling on travelers to come to the airport earlier on Monday. "The unions of our subcontractor BSCA Security are blocking the security checks. The taking of our passengers and BSCA staff hostage by this action is simply scandalous," it reacted.
The origin of this outburst is the failure of negotiations around the transition to two operators rather than one for security checks. A distribution nevertheless considered necessary by BSCA Security, in charge of security at Charleroi airport, points out the same source. The company has indeed planned to allocate the security control part to two operators instead of a single one, to reduce disruptions.
