Saudi Prince Jokes About Recruiting Barcelona’s Teen Star Lamine Yamal

The former president of the Al-Hilal football club, Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musa’ed bin Abdulaziz, has recently been making headlines on social media. In response to a subscriber who asked him about the purchase of a new player for the club, the prince humorously mentioned the possibility of recruiting the young star of FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal.
"My maximum was Wilhelmsson (and that was a long time ago)... Now I’m just a fan like you," he said on the "X" platform, before adding with a touch of irony: "but I suggest to the management, as a member of the public, Lamine." The prince even went so far as to promise to cover the cost of a personal car for the young prodigy if he joined Al-Hilal.
Faced with the incredulity of another subscriber, the prince humorously confirmed the improbable nature of this suggestion. "It’s obvious I’m joking and the player is impossible to recruit... His release clause is a billion and his contract with Barcelona is valid for several years, during which he will become the best player in the world," he acknowledged.
Beyond this anecdote, Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musa’ed bin Abdulaziz also commented on the organization of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. "A magnificent final and Clasico, followed by hundreds of millions of people around the world... The glorious Saudi Arabia is in the spotlight of the whole world," he rejoiced on "X".
