Saudi Arabia Eases Travel Rules: Moroccans with Schengen, UK, US Visas Granted Visa-Free Entry

Saudi Arabia has just activated its new tourist visa system. From now on, Moroccans holding Schengen visas, from the United Kingdom, the United States are exempt from entry visas in this country.
This decision, which had been made at the end of September 2019, aims to place the tourism sector at the forefront of the kingdom’s main revenue sources, reports Médias24. Only tourist and commercial visas are affected by this measure.
Moroccans holding Schengen visas, or issued by the United Kingdom or the United States, will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia without a prior visa. Provided that the visa has been used and stamped at least once by the country that issued it and that the purpose of the trip to Saudi Arabia is a tourist visit. The duration of a visit stay is set at 90 days.
When Saudi Arabia launched the basic "tourist visa" system in September, it had not included Morocco on the list of 49 beneficiary countries (including 38 European countries). This is now done.
