Ryanair to Refund Passengers for Flights During Airport Closure

Ryanair will have to refund passengers who have purchased tickets departing from Dole-Jura airport between May 26 and July 11, 2025, a period when the runway will be closed for work.
While Dole-Jura airport has informed of the work dates for five months, Ryanair failed to mention on its website that the runway will be closed between May 26 and July 11, 2025, leaving passengers to buy tickets for the period. As a result, the Irish low-cost airline will have to refund its customers.
One of them told the newspaper Le Progrès that he had received a letter from the airline confirming that all flights from Dole will be cancelled. "The company of course adds that the refund will follow. I’m sure the media coverage has accelerated things. We couldn’t change our dates and we’ll be leaving from Lyon, with EasyJet," she specified.
Cédric, another customer who booked 10 months ago for a flight to Morocco in June, confirms Ryanair’s intention to refund the affected passengers: "I called Ryanair when I learned of the airport closure. I was told that the closure dates were not official, that the activity was maintained and that I would be refunded if it didn’t take off."
"Everyone has been warned. Ryanair is on the case. Passengers need to contact the company. It is obliged to offer them something since they have sold the tickets," said Jean-Jacques Berto, the director of the airport.
