Ryanair Job Offer Leaves Moroccan Flight Attendants Stranded in UK

Major disillusionment for young Moroccans who dreamed of working for Ryanair as flight attendants. After completing training in Marrakech, they find themselves stranded in Great Britain where they were deployed and then dismissed without notice.
The dream of dozens of young Moroccans has turned into a nightmare. After investing nearly 16,500 dirhams to participate in training courses offered by the Moroccan company Sky Crew based in Marrakech with the aim of being recruited by Ryanair, they find themselves trapped in Great Britain, reports Al Akhbar. At the end of their training, these young people obtained work contracts and official visas to join their positions.
But upon arrival in Great Britain, the young Moroccans faced a harsh reality. Faced with the high cost of living in this country, they had to take on additional jobs to cover housing and living expenses. They were in this situation when they were informed that those among them over 26 years old would be dismissed, on the grounds that the annual salaries required for this age group in the country are close to 28,000 pounds, while the company does not pay more than 18,000 pounds.
This dismissal decision was a real shock for the young Moroccans who denounce the fact that it was taken without notice and that this condition was not mentioned during the training, let alone in the clauses of the work contracts. Most of them, more than thirty according to the publication, received their dismissal notification just two days before their stay visa in Great Britain expired.
These young people residing in cities like Manchester and London continue to struggle to support their housing and living expenses. But with the high cost of living, some risk ending up on the street. Once their savings are exhausted, they will have no choice but to return to Morocco. Unless some of them choose to live precariously on British streets, without support and assistance. They are calling on Moroccan and British authorities for help.
