While it is already in a very delicate situation, the airline Royal Air Maroc has just taken out the checkbook again to finance its economic redundancy plan.
According to l’Économiste, this plan cost an average of 4 million net DH per pilot. As for the pilots who have accumulated the most years of experience, RAM has spent between 5 and 7 million DH per person.
This redundancy plan provides for the departure of 140 employees, including 65 from the technical flight crew, 59 from the commercial flight crew and 16 from the ground staff.
This social measure imposed by RAM to get out of the impasse is a first in the history of the company in 60 years, we are told.
