Royal Air Maroc Plane Returns to Morocco After Runway Incident in Liberia

The plane of the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) connecting Casablanca to Monrovia, which encountered difficulties due to the storm during landing in Liberia, has returned to Morocco.
The Boeing 737-800 registered CN-RGW of the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) which left Casablanca for Liberia and went off the runway on Saturday, August 17 at 6:15 am local time (5:15 am GMT) during its landing on runway 04 of Monrovia-Roberts Airport, requiring the disembarkation of passengers and the cancellation of the return flight to the Moroccan city at a later date, is back in Morocco. The plane took off on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at five o’clock, confirms Maroc Aviation, a platform specialized in the field of aviation in Morocco. Before takeoff, the Moroccan technical engineers who arrived in Monrovia after the incident accomplished considerable work despite the lack of resources in Liberia.
The aircraft "had planned a stopover in Nouakchott to refuel, as it flew at an altitude not exceeding 10,000 feet, or about 3,048 meters above sea level, and at a speed not exceeding 290 knots (538 km/h), which could explain that the plane is suffering from cabin depressurization or other problems," the same source specifies, stating that the Boeing 737-800 entered Moroccan airspace in the afternoon of Sunday.
