Royal Air Maroc Resumes Online Bookings Despite Ongoing Flight Suspensions

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has resumed online reservations on its platform, with flight dates scheduled from May 1st. This, despite the closure of air borders "until further notice" and the fact that its planes have remained grounded due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Surprised by this decision, several RAM customers are trying to understand what motivates this unexpected resumption of the national company. According to the company, which confirms the reactivation of online reservations for early May, all airlines must maintain their programming systems which cannot be deleted even if flights are suspended.
This reactivation of online reservations is also explained by a decision of the supervisory authority, the Ministry of Air Transport, which "currently sets the suspension of activities until April 30 and not beyond".
It also added that the resumption of online reservations and ticket sales is adopted by all airlines, as they must keep their systems running.
