Royal Air Maroc Resumes Limited Domestic Flights, Excludes Major Tourist Hubs

Royal Air Maroc plans a cautious, and above all selective, resumption of domestic flights. Two of the most important routes, Marrakech and Tangier, are not included in the airline’s program.
The statement from the national operator indicates the resumption, starting June 25, of only four domestic routes, namely Casablanca-Laâyoune, Casablanca-Dakhla, Casablanca-Oujda and Casablanca-Agadir.
The statement, however, points out that for reasons of health safety, the two priority tourist hubs, Marrakech and Tangier, have not been included in RAM’s current program. A decision that is likely to cause a lot of discontent.
This decision was imposed by the authorities and would not be related to the economic difficulties currently facing the airline.
