Royal Air Maroc Launches Twice-Weekly Flights from Casablanca to Eastern Morocco

A new domestic flight from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca to Bouarfa, in the east of the country, has just been announced by the airline Royal Air Maroc.
The result of a partnership between the national company, the Oriental region, the Wilaya, the Regional Council and the Oriental Development Agency, as well as the provinces of Nador and Figuig, this new link is offered twice a week (Monday and Saturday), it is announced.
"Today, we have managed to open this new line which is a wish cherished by all the populations of this region who have always expressed the need for air isolation," said Tourism Minister Mohamed Sajid at a press conference.
For the minister, the new link will allow Moroccan and foreign tourists to come and spend their weekend in the region and thus enjoy its potential.
In terms of fares, you have to count a starting price of 500 dirhams for a one-way ticket, while a round trip is priced at 900 dirhams. So that these relatively affordable prices can be offered, they have been partially subsidized by the public authorities.
Note that Bouarfa airport is very close to the city (just 2 kilometers). Covering an area of 243 hectares, it has a 1,763 m2 terminal with a total capacity of 100,000 passengers per year. It is directly connected to national road 10.
