Royal Air Maroc Launches Twice-Weekly Flights Between Casablanca and Athens

On Thursday, the inaugural flight of Royal Air Maroc marking the launch of the new direct air link between Casablanca and Athens, the Greek capital, took place. The plane left Casablanca and landed on Thursday evening.
This new service will be scheduled on Thursdays and Saturdays, twice a week. Athens will then be connected to the networks and Africa, via the hub of the Casablanca Mohammed V airport. Greece will indeed be connected to 33 destinations in Africa as well as to many other countries, such as the United States, Canada or Brazil among others. It will also allow connecting Athens to more than 19 Moroccan destinations.
Departures from Casablanca International Airport will be scheduled at 12:05 PM, for an arrival at 6:05 PM (local time) in Athens. As for departures from Athens, they will take place at 7:05 PM (local time) for a scheduled arrival at 9:30 PM in Casablanca.
RAM specifies that this new service is part of the national company’s development strategy which aims, among other things, to bring the two continents closer together: Europe and Africa.
The Moroccan ambassador to Athens, Samir Addahre, said that this line "is an effective tool for promoting relations with Greece and with the Balkan countries".
