Royal Air Maroc Halts China Flights Amid Coronavirus, Grounds 40% of Fleet

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has no intention of resuming its flights to China, contrary to the rumors.
The Moroccan airline is thus responding to information according to which it was to resume its links to China, since the coronavirus epidemic seems to be slowing down in the country.
This is a blow for the company, which sees itself forced to immobilize about twenty of its aircraft, out of the 58 it has. This represents a considerable drop of 40% in its activities. RAM now has to manage the suspension of flights to Italy and Spain.
This austerity plan will have a negative impact on the company’s operations. Thus, the staff will have to make huge sacrifices, pending a hypothetical support from the State, as was the case in some countries due to the importance of the projected volume of losses for airlines as a whole.
