Royal Air Maroc Expands Global Reach: New Routes and 6.6 Million Seats for Summer Travel Boom

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is offering new flights to facilitate the return of Moroccans in Europe during the summer period. The airline plans more than 6.6 million seats, or more than 700,000 additional seats compared to last summer, and to serve 95 destinations worldwide.
Royal Air Maroc is opening new horizons to meet the growing needs of a diverse clientele, including Moroccans, African diasporas and international tourists, the Moroccan airline said in a press release. In this dynamic, RAM is launching four new international routes to Sao Paulo, Beijing, Toronto and Catania, and is strengthening its domestic flights with the recently launched Rabat-Dakhla route. These new routes aim to facilitate the travel of Moroccans in the diaspora and to strengthen Morocco’s connectivity with key markets.
RAM is also offering a new direct and regular line to Stansted Airport in London, which is added to the two existing lines connecting Heathrow and Gatwick to Casablanca, and the recently launched direct Casablanca-Manchester line. On the African continent, the Moroccan company is strengthening its connectivity with Nouakchott, with nine weekly frequencies instead of the current 7. RAM will operate 14 flights per week to Dakar, at a rate of two flights per day. As for the lines connecting Casablanca to Malaga, Valencia, Lisbon and Porto, they will be operated by Boeing 737 and Embraer 190, offering better comfort conditions and a reduction in flight time.
To succeed in this summer season, Royal Air Maroc has leased four aircraft (1 long-haul for Casablanca and 3 medium-haul for Tanger, Nador and Oujda) from internationally renowned airlines. This reduction in the number of chartered aircraft this year compared to the previous year is justified by the entry into service of eight new aircraft, including 2 Boeing Dreamliner 787-900 for long-haul flights and 6 Boeing 737-8 MAX for medium-haul flights. A night slot is planned for flights to Europe (Brussels, Paris Orly, Paris CDG, Milan, Bologna and London Stansted) via the company’s hub in Casablanca, and a day slot for flights to Africa (Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Lagos and Conakry).
Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc, explained that "the exceptional system we have put in place for the summer season 2025 is fully in line with the Company’s development strategy. With an expanded offer, a modernized fleet and operational innovations, we reaffirm our commitment to our passengers and consolidate Morocco’s position as a strategic air hub. These efforts reflect our desire to offer ever smoother and more pleasant journeys, while expanding our network. All the teams of Royal Air Maroc are mobilized to succeed in this summer season, particularly for the benefit of our fellow citizens established abroad, by guaranteeing them the best customer experience".
