Royal Air Maroc Resumes Domestic Flights in Morocco After COVID-19 Lockdown

Domestic flights have resumed on June 25th, as announced at Mohammed V Airport. Royal Air Maroc has resumed its domestic flights, ensuring the connection to the city of Dakhla.
The national airline was authorized last Sunday to restart its domestic flights to the destinations of Laâyoune, Dakhla, Oujda and Agadir, recalls the MAP. This decision by the Minister of Tourism is part of the 2nd stage of the easing of the health lockdown put in place since March 20th to curb the coronavirus pandemic.
For the director of RAM’s customer division, Othman Bekkari, this flight "is a historic moment that will remain engraved in the memory of the company’s employees". They have all resumed their activities after a 3-month shutdown due to the pandemic.
According to him, RAM will gradually increase the number of frequencies and domestic destinations. In his opinion, the flight schedule should see an increase to cover the entire national network.
He also specified that the flights will increase from two to three per destination starting next week, before adding that RAM covered 28 destinations before the declaration of the state of health emergency.
