Rising Star Amraoui Scores Stunning Goal as Nice Edges Sheriff Tiraspol in Europa Conference League
Last night, OGC Nice traveled to the pitch of Sheriff Tiraspol in the first leg of the Europa Conference League round of 16. Despite a difficult game, the Eagles managed to win 1-0, thanks in particular to an impressive performance by the young Moroccan player Ayoub Amraoui.
Surprisingly starting for this match, the 18-year-old left-back scored his first professional goal in spectacular fashion at the end of the first half. Served by Khephren Thuram, he sent a superb shot into the goal of Maksym Koval, surprising the goalkeeper who could do nothing to stop the shot.
A regular player of Nice’s B team in Nationale 3, Amraoui was able to seize his chance in his third professional match with the first team. Moroccan under-21 international with one cap, he thus put his team on the right track before the start of the second half.
This victory is a good start for OGC Nice in this competition, which hopes to go as far as possible. The return leg will be played in a week in Nice, where the Eagles will be eager to confirm their advantage.
