Rising Moroccan Cyclist Abdellah Loukili Joins French Club EC Saint-Vigor-le-Grand

Abdellah Loukili, a young hope of Moroccan cycling, has joined the EC Saint-Vigor-le-Grand. He will now participate in the management of the cycling school.
Native of Casablanca, Abdellah Loukili is the son of sports-loving parents who created the Roue d’Or Mohammedia Association, the club where he honed his skills. In this club, he climbed all the ranks before joining the Moroccan junior team. "With only four victories, my first junior season did not go as well as I had hoped. However, I was able to participate in the Nations Cup in Canada. The second one was better as I was able to go to Switzerland and become an intern at the World Cycling Center," he said.
For the Moroccan cyclist, his entry into the EC Saint-Vigor is justified by the desire to progress, reach the professional level and obtain good results in international races, reports Actu.fr. "Some riders from our country manage to make a place for themselves in France and race in N1. Even to make podiums," he stressed.
According to him, he had to make a choice in Morocco: "to start studies or to devote myself entirely to cycling. For safety, I decided to prepare a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in order to remain in my passion." Thanks to his parents, he was already able to supervise training sessions at the club. "Leaving everything behind to try my luck abroad was difficult. Even more so with Covid-19 but at the EC Saint-Vigor, I received a warm welcome.
The club has been very friendly with me. The cohesion was immediately created. Sport has allowed me to integrate," he added.
