Rif Protest Movement: Four More Detainees Join Hunger Strike in Moroccan Prisons

After [Nasser Zefzafi] and his co-detainee, it is the turn of four new detainees of the Hirak of the Rif to begin a hunger strike. Ahmed Zefzafi, the father of the leader of the Rif Hirak, made this announcement on his Facebook page.
Mohamed El Haki, detained in the Larache prison, Zakari Adhchour and Samir Aghid in the Berkane prison and Nabil Ahamjik in the Oujda center. These are the four new detainees who have decided to go on hunger strike.
On Saturday, the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) had announced that Nasser Zefzafi and Mohamed Jelloul had informed the management of the local prison of [Tangier] 2 of their decision to go on hunger strike "without justification". This decision was taken a few weeks after a conflict between six main Hirak detainees and the administration of this prison.
According to Ahmed Zefzafi, this altercation was intended to disperse the activists and prevent any protest against the administration’s decision to prohibit them from addressing subjects other than family matters with their loved ones.
