Retired Nurse Arrested for Illegal Surgeries After Buried Leg Found in Morocco

The judicial police of Sidi Slimane proceeded to the arrest of a retired nurse following the discovery of an amputated leg buried in a vacant lot. The defendant was operating on patients in his home, which had been transformed into an illegal clinic.
The fake surgeon amputated the leg of a diabetic patient and then buried it in the Ouled Ghazi district, reports Assabah. The discovery of this amputated leg led to his arrest. The remains of medical products in the leg aroused suspicions. This is how the investigators went to an illegal clinic. The accused is the owner. During the searches, instruments and products used by surgeons in operating rooms were seized.
The defendant is a retired nurse. He had worked as a senior nurse at the provincial hospital of Sidi Slimane, before retiring in 2014. He performed surgical operations at low prices. After his arrest, he was placed in custody for further investigation into the offenses of usurpation of function and endangering others. He will be brought before the public prosecutor this Friday. After which, he will be held in pre-trial detention until the date of his trial.
According to the investigators, the accused did not act alone. They are therefore continuing the investigations to identify his accomplice.
