Rescuers Close to Saving 5-Year-Old Boy Trapped in Moroccan Well for Days

The 5-year-old Rayan, trapped at the bottom of a well for five days in the Chefchaouen region, would still be alive, and his rescue would be imminent.
It’s a race against time. The child would be "still alive, but diminished" after 5 days, 32 meters underground, reports Hespress, citing sources close to the rescuers.
According to them, the level of water sent in the bottle has dropped, when it was brought back to the surface, which would indicate that little Rayan could have hydrated himself. Oxygen is regularly blown to him, so that he does not lack it, 32 meters underground, they added.
In a statement to the press, early this Saturday morning, Abdelhadi Thamrani, a member of the monitoring committee for the rescue operation, expressed his "great hope that Rayan will be in good health", specifying that there remained "more or less three meters" before the rescuers reach the child.
An equipped ambulance, with a medical team including a resuscitator, as well as a medicalized helicopter of the Royal Gendarmerie are currently on site "to save little Rayan at the right time".
