UN Report on Western Sahara Sparks Controversy: Polisario and Morocco Trade Accusations

The Polisario criticizes the report of the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on the situation in the Sahara, which accuses it and accuses Morocco of continuous violation of the presence and work of MINURSO.
In his report, the UN Secretary-General accuses the Polisario of hindering the work of the MINURSO mission on the ground. In turn, the Secretary-General of the separatist movement, in a letter addressed to Antonio Guterres, accused Morocco of having continuously violated the presence and work of MINURSO in the Sahara, including the major challenges facing the mission, particularly its logistical and resupply efforts. The Polisario describes the UN report as "concealment of the truth and accusation of the Kingdom of Morocco". It also denounced "the unjustified silence and tolerance of the non-prosecution by the United Nations Secretariat towards Morocco".
In a statement to Al3omk.com, the expert in international law, on immigration and the conflict in the Moroccan Sahara, Sabri El Hou, indicated that the UN report revealed the extent of the obstacles and difficulties that the Polisario created for MINURSO in carrying out its work of monitoring the ceasefire and demining. According to him, the UN attributes to the separatist movement the responsibility for the failure of the entire political process, the organization having mentioned in its report the role that the round table discussions and the participation of all parties, including Algeria, will play.
The president general of the Academy of Strategic Reflection also believes that the Polisario is working to return to the forefront through its correspondence, but "this does not affect the fact that Morocco is ahead and solid, and it is building the solution with its own hands, under the aegis of the United Nations."
