UN Report: Morocco Emerges as Major Cocaine Trafficking Hub in Africa

The latest conclusions of the World Drug Report, revealed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), are very embarrassing for Morocco.
Thus, 86% of the cocaine seized in Africa in 2017 was in Morocco. This is one of the conclusions of the World Drug Report, published on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and relayed by the HuffPost website. The Kingdom is a real hub for "white powder" on the continent.
This finding stems from the many seizures of kilos or tons of cocaine made in recent years. For example, 120 kilos of cocaine were seized in 2015. Worse, in 2016, this number rose to 1.6 tons. The red year was 2017, with nearly double, more precisely 2.8 tons, of which one ton of this cocaine from Brazil alone, recalled the UNODC.
A remarkable seizure was made in 2018, with more than a ton of cocaine seized last December.
For the UNODC, this traffic is so well organized in Morocco, South Africa and Guinea-Bissau, given the latest seizures in these countries, that it is underestimated.
