Renowned Moroccan Actor Aziz Maouhoub Dies at 84 After Long Illness

Aziz Maouhoub is no more. The Moroccan actor and theater man died yesterday, Sunday, March 3, in a clinic in Rabat, after a long illness.
Born in Marrakech in 1939, he had been a laureate in 1962 of the School of Actors and Theater, before creating, with others, a few years later, the National Union of Theater Professionals.
A familiar face on Moroccan television, Aziz Maouhoub had notably participated in series such as "Khat rajâa", or "Chajart zawiya", and in many theater plays, a field he particularly enjoyed.
In 2015, the actor was decorated with the Wissam Al Moukafaa Al Watania of the 2nd class (Commander) by King Mohammed VI.
