Renowned Chef Showcases Moroccan Cuisine at Washington Embassy Event

The "Taste of Morocco", a cultural event organized by the Moroccan embassy in Washington, this week laid a sumptuous table on which were several Moroccan flavors concocted by the famous chef Moha Fedal.
At this event, Moroccan gastronomy was celebrated in style, through various activities. The ambassador of Moroccan gastronomy indeed initiated a dozen apprentice cooks in the wise blends of Moroccan spices that give flavor to the country’s dishes, all in a friendly atmosphere in the pure Moroccan tradition, reports the MAP.
"I wanted to bring my spices to show how you can prepare simple and good Moroccan dishes," said the Moroccan chef, stating that "everyone has already tasted couscous, but no one knows chicken with lemon, a very simple and particularly tasty dish."
"As many Americans don’t know Moroccan gastronomy very well, it’s the best way to move towards them," continued Chef Moha, adding that the fact of sharing a few hours with Americans by teaching them how to cook small Moroccan dishes like "zaalouk" or "tektouka" gives them "the desire to come and visit Morocco."
In addition, the various participants had the honor of tasting during an evening about fifteen dishes that make up the richness of national gastronomy, between pastillas, couscous, roast chicken, fish tagine, not to mention countless Moroccan pastries.
