Fraud in the car sales procedures at Renault Commerce Morocco. It involves internal agents, three of whom have already been fired. An internal audit is underway to determine all the implications and consequences of this case.
Turmoil within the Renault Morocco Group and its subsidiary, Renault Commerce Morocco, for several weeks, following the discovery of internal fraud. According to information received by Médias 24, from the Renault Morocco Group, the fraud concerns the commercial part and would involve several people, including employees of Renault Commerce Morocco.
Indeed, according to the details of the newspaper, it was a control mission that detected "breaches of internal procedures" qualified as malicious acts for the purpose of fraud.
Although the Renault Morocco Management did not provide details on the nature of the shortcomings, it hinted that the fraud has caused financial damage, the amount of which remains at the discretion of the officials.
An internal scam that comes at a time when the Group’s sales are declining. Is there a link between these declines and the fraud that the commercial branch of the automaker has been a victim of? "None," assures the management according to comments reported by Médias 24.
For the officials, it is the entire market that has been experiencing a decline since the beginning of the year. And, as for the Dacia brand, the decline would be explained, according to the management, by "the end of subsidies for the renewal of the taxi fleet".
As for the detected fraud, the dismissed persons could be subject to legal proceedings.
