Reims Captain Yunis Abdelhamid Suspended for Two Matches After Red Card

Moroccan international Yunis Abdelhamid will not be lined up for the match against Brest. The Reims defender and captain has been suspended for three matches, including one with a suspended sentence, by the Disciplinary Commission of the Professional Football League (LFP).
Sent off last Sunday in the 14th minute of the match against Nantes (0-1), Yunis Abdelhamid is serving a suspension. Reims will have to do without their defender and captain for three matches, including one with a suspended sentence. "The Reims defender will miss the reception of Brest on Sunday as well as the trip to Monaco during the 26th round," the commission, which met on Wednesday, reports, according to l’Équipe.
The Moroccan player is not the only case the commission has looked into. Alidu Seidu (Clermont), Benjamin André (LOSC), Boubacar Traoré (Metz), Caio Henrique (Monaco), Jean-Clair Todibo (Nice), Marco Verratti (PSG) and Dimitri Liénard (Strasbourg) will be suspended for one match for having received a third yellow card over a period of 10 official matches or by revocation of the suspended sentence. But they will be lined up this weekend as their sanction only takes effect from Tuesday, February 22.
