Reda Taliani Arrested Morocco Drunk Driving Prison
Algerian raï singer Reda Taliani was arrested Thursday evening in Mohammedia following a traffic accident. Suspected of driving under the influence, he was taken into police custody on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office.
The intervention mobilized several police services, including the anti-gang unit and traffic officers who came to document the accident. The singer allegedly refused to comply and hand over his driving documents to the police officers.

According to local sources cited by Hespress, Reda Taliani appeared disoriented and remained silent during the initial stages of the intervention. Police secured the scene, documented the damage, and conducted the necessary checks to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
Bottles Found in the Vehicle
A person accompanying the singer was transported by ambulance to Moulay Abdellah provincial hospital. Reda Taliani allegedly refused to get in the ambulance before being taken to the hospital in a police vehicle.
After receiving initial care and undergoing the necessary medical examinations, the artist was transferred to the judicial police headquarters. A search of his vehicle allegedly resulted in the seizure of several bottles of alcoholic beverages.
The singer is to be presented to the public prosecutor on Saturday, who will decide whether to pursue detention or release. The investigation must notably determine his condition at the time of the facts and responsibilities in the accident.
