UK Recognizes Morocco’s COVID Vaccines, Eases Travel Restrictions

The United Kingdom has decided to recognize all vaccines on the WHO emergency use list. This includes the Sinopharm vaccine and all others administered in Morocco. Good news for Moroccans, as their vaccination pass will be accepted from November 22, 2021.
The British Embassy in Morocco announced the good news on Twitter, informing Moroccans of the British government’s recognition of the vaccine developed by the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm. From November 22, 2021, this vaccine administered to most Moroccans will be added to the list of approved vaccines for incoming travelers. They will no longer be required to take a PCR test before departure, a control test on the 8th day after arrival or to self-isolate. However, they must take a rapid test before the end of their second day in the UK.
Until that date, Moroccans coming to the territory will still have to follow the rules imposed on people who are not fully vaccinated. Perform a Covid-19 test less than 72 hours before their trip as well as control tests, fill out a health form within 48 hours prior to their arrival in England, self-isolate for 10 days, and take the control tests.
