Reality TV Star Marine El Himer Announces Conversion to Islam on Instagram

The French influencer and reality TV star Marine El Himer, now a Moroccan citizen, has converted to Islam. A "choice of soul, heart and reason" for the twin sister of Océane.
It was on her Instagram account that Marine El Himer announced the news to her subscribers. "There are roads you have to take alone. No friends, no family, no partner. Just you and Allah. Some of you know it, but many are still wondering; and well, although I’m quite reserved on this subject, I’ve never officially declared it: I converted to Islam a few months ago," she wrote.
"Those who follow my daily life know it (I may not be telling you anything new), but what’s certain is the importance of sharing this part of me as intimate and personal as it may be with those I now consider a second family: YOU!" continued the influencer, explaining that it is a "choice of soul, heart and reason". This conversion is a source of pride for her. "Know this, and this is the essence of my message: there is no shame in converting to another religion whatever it may be. It is a fundamental right that everyone should be able to practice freely," added the Franco-Moroccan.
Last October, Marine El Himer had announced on the same social network the obtaining of Moroccan nationality. Her sister Océane, also a reality TV candidate and herself, were born in Bordeaux to a Moroccan father they did not know. "Finally! Patience and perseverance always bear fruit, so never stop believing in yourself no matter what your difficulties, your wounds... I want to express my deep gratitude to the people who supported and accompanied me throughout this process. I am proud of my Morocco and proud to be officially a Moroccan Citizen," she had indicated in the caption of a photo showing her posing proudly with her Moroccan identity card.
