Real Madrid Set to Snatch 16-Year-Old Moroccan Prodigy from Ajax’s Grasp

Abdellah Ouazane, the 16-year-old Moroccan midfielder playing at Ajax Amsterdam, is reportedly on the verge of joining Real Madrid.
Dutch media sources and journalist Fabrizio Romano have confirmed that the young Moroccan player could sign with Real Madrid this summer. If the negotiations are successful, the Moroccan midfielder would leave Ajax, the club he had joined since 2016, without having played a single official match with the first team. According to the Voetbolzone platform, the Madrid club is working to finalize the transfer of the 16-year-old player as soon as possible.
Ouazane, who had played for the Dutch youth categories (U15), has ultimately chosen to represent Morocco, the country of origin of his parents. Called up with the Moroccan U17s to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations in that category, the Atlas Lion has made a strong impression with his remarkable performances, contributing to the performance of the Moroccan team that won the continental title.
Several major European clubs have expressed their intention to secure Ouazane’s services, who was named the best player of the tournament. Ajax has tried to convince the midfielder to stay, but the 16-year-old player seems to be won over by Real Madrid’s project. The Atlas Lion should join the "La Fábrica" academy, before gradually evolving within the Madrid club, depending on his performances.
