Real Madrid Eyes Hakimi Return, PSG Demands €80 Million for Moroccan Star

The transfer of Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid could well be the soap opera of the summer. Carlo Ancelotti, Real’s coach, would like to welcome the Moroccan international, a player he considers an ideal solution to strengthen his right flank, currently covered by Dani Carvajal. But, there are quite a few obstacles to be expected.
Having never hidden his desire to return to the Casa Blanca, the Moroccan could be slowed down in his desire to return by two major obstacles. First, the right-back remains under contract with PSG until 2026, following a commitment made in 2021 for a duration of five seasons. The second obstacle is the amount of his salary, estimated at more than 10 million euros net per season. In addition, the Parisian club would not be willing to release its player without a minimum offer of 80 million euros.
In parallel, agent Marco Kirdemir recently stated that Kylian Mbappé, also from PSG, would have a strong chance of joining Real Madrid after Euro 2024. It therefore seems that Achraf Hakimi is not the only Parisian to have desires for Madrid. Kirdemir even goes so far as to claim that Hakimi would have encouraged Mbappé to join him in Madrid. These statements put additional pressure on the PSG management, already very busy with the summer transfer window.
Ancelotti has not only Hakimi in his sights. The Italian coach would also be interested in Lautaro Martínez, Inter Milan’s striker. According to El Mundo Deportivo, these two players are his main targets for the summer transfer window. But, just like for Hakimi, several obstacles will have to be overcome to finalize these transfers, particularly those related to current contracts and salary demands.
