Real estate fraud in Tangier: two years suspended sentence for an authority agent

The Tangier Court of Appeal has just sentenced an authority agent accused of falsifying property ownership documents of a building belonging to others to two years in prison with a suspended sentence.
The authority agent, serving in the commune of Al Bahraouiyine under the province of Fahs-Anjra, on the outskirts of Tangier, was prosecuted for having falsified the documents of a real estate property belonging to the heirs of a family in the region in order to appropriate it.
During his trial, the convicted person denied the facts and rejected the accusations against him. Faced with the overwhelming evidence against him, the Tangier Court of Appeal finally sentenced him to two years in prison with a suspended sentence and the payment of an indemnity of 100,000 dirhams to the civil parties.
